# Getting started

> The welcome screens and your first pile, from install to a live listing

DexFlip opens on a six-page welcome the first time you launch it. After that it opens on Home every time.

## The welcome

The first five pages describe the loop. The sixth offers the two account links. Tap **Skip** on any of the first five to jump straight to the sixth.

| Work the pile, not the card | Scan everything first, review it all, then price and list in one go |
| Scan                        | Point at a card, flip it for the back, move to the next             |
| Review                      | Your photo sits beside the best match. One tap confirms it          |
| Compose                     | Prices start at today's TCGplayer market price                      |
| Publish                     | Everything marked Ready lists to eBay in one tap                    |
| Get started                 | **Link eBay** and **Link Google**                                   |

**Both links are optional.** eBay is needed to publish. Google is needed only for Export to Sheets. You can link either later in Settings.

**The welcome shows until you tap Get started.** If the app closes part way through, it shows again on the next launch.

## Your first listing

    Tap the **Scan** tab. iOS asks for camera access the first time. See [Scanning](/docs/selling/scanning#camera-access) for what happens if you refuse.

  <Step title="Shoot the pile">
    Shoot the front of each card, tap **Flip to back** if you want the back too, then **Next card**. Tap **Review** when the pile is done.

  <Step title="Confirm each card">
    In Review, check the match, pick the printing and tap **Accept**. A wrong match is fixed here, not in Scan.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Price and build">
    In Compose, open a card, choose its condition and tap **Build listing**. Several cards can become one listing with **Build lot**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Publish">
    In Publish, tap **Publish now** on one listing or **Publish all** for every Ready listing. The first publish walks you through linking eBay and choosing your shipping and returns policies.

## Notes

* Home is where you land on every launch. The app does not reopen on the tab you left.
* Every card stays on the phone until you delete or remove it. See [What is kept, and for how long](/docs/setup/what-is-kept).
