# Building a lot

> Turning several cards into one listing, with its title, price, cover and photos

A lot is one listing that sells several cards together. It holds 2 to 92 cards and declares one condition for all of them. Lots are how cards under eBay's minimum price get listed.

## Picking the cards

    The lot builder opens. A card already built as a single can join. The bar says how many of those are in the selection, and their single listings are replaced by the lot.

## The lot builder

| Section       | What you set                                                                                                                                    |

| Listing title | The line buyers search on. It starts as **Pokemon card lot of** the count, plus the condition. 80 characters at most                            |

| Listing       | Buy It Now, Buy It Now + Offers, or Auction. The same options as a [single card](/docs/selling/pricing-a-card#listing)                               |
| Description   | Starts filled in with the count and one line per card, up to 30 lines. A card's line names its own grade when the grades differ. Edit it freely |
| Cover         | The first photo buyers see                                                                                                                      |

**A card with no market price adds nothing to the lot price.** The builder says how many cards the price covers.

## Cover

**Cover photo** has three choices.

| Your own photo   | A photo you take or pick from your library                    |

For **The cover cards**, **Layout** switches between a wide and a tall grid when the count allows both. In **Choose cover cards**, drag to reorder and tap a card to leave it off the cover. A card left off the cover is still in the listing and still in the photos.

### Taking or choosing your own photo

**Take a photo** opens the iOS camera. If you have not answered the camera prompt yet, iOS asks now. If you refused it earlier, turn camera access on in **Settings > Apps > DexFlip**.

**Choose from your library** opens the iOS photo picker. It shows no permission prompt, and the app sees only the photo you pick. Nothing is saved back to your library.

**Your own photo must be at least 500 pixels on its long side.** eBay refuses anything smaller.

## Photos

eBay allows 24 photos per listing. The cover takes one and the cards share the rest.

| 24 to 46         | Two fronts per photo. No backs                |
| 47 to 92         | Four fronts per photo. No backs               |

Tap the photo count to open **Photos on eBay**, the exact set that will be sent, cover first.

## Build lot

Tap **Build lot**. The cards leave the grid and the lot appears under **Built listings**, marked **Ready**.

To change a built lot, open it and tap **Save changes**. **Un-build** breaks it up and sends every card back to the Compose grid with its condition.

## Notes

* A lot that is publishing or published cannot be changed or broken up.
* The card photos are drawn when you build, and deleted from the phone once the lot publishes. The cover is kept.
